COPPELL FAMILY YMCA ADVENTURE GUIDES
Family Director Jeff Parker
972-393-5121 Ext. 207  jparker@ymcadallas.org

YMCA Adventure Guides is a parent-child program designed to help foster a lifetime of companionship to strengthen the relationship between children and parents. As an Adventure Guide, you and your child will join a unique “Circle" with whom you'll participate in games, camping trips, and ceremonies, while fostering a sense of self-esteem, personal worth, and quality family time.

Registration for Fall 2010 / Spring 2011 will resume in August.  Have a great summer guys.

Kindergarten- 4th grade Explorers and Princesses
Father and child participate together in this relationship-building program. Circles meet one to two times per month and have one big nation event each month. Fall and spring campouts are planned. Dads and children fish together, canoe, hike, conduct ceremonies, and much, much more. This father/child program offers a variety of monthly nation events including: putt-putt golf, skating, pumpkin carving, campouts, Christmas, 4th of July parades, bowling, kite flying, sweetheart banquets/sports banquets and derby days. The Induction Ceremony & Campfire are the “big event” at the nation campouts held each fall and spring at an area YMCA-owned or state park campground.

3 & 4 year olds
This program also builds relationships between father and child (son or daughter.) Papooses are invited to all the nation events including camp-outs. This is a great way to get started in the Adventure Guides program.

Eagles Program
The "Eagles" Program is designed specifically for parents of children with special needs ages 4 years and older.  Children will participate in most of the same events as the Adventure Guides program, but will also have opportunities to attend specific camps and events that are adapted to fit their needs and abilities.

*The following are 1/2 year rates. Effective January - May 2010:

YMCA Member Father and Child
