YMCA Healthy Kids Day will be celebrated across the country at more than 1,700 YMCAs. Last year, more than 700,000 people participated in YMCA Healthy Kids Day events nationwide, enjoying games, demonstrations, arts and crafts, educational resources, healthy treats, giveaways and more. Click Here For More Information

Fitlinxx  is a computerized fitness network that tracks exercise results on the weight machines. These results give members motivating feedback on their progress while providing their training coach with information to identify when assistance is needed. The orientation includes instruction on form, range of motion, and rate of motion.

Cancer Survivorship Program

 

 

Teen Tone

A FREE 90-day coached program designed to help you adopt healthier habits. Register at the Welcome Center.

Chemical Awareness Resource and Education (C.A.R.E) is a 4 week drug and alcohol education class for teens and their parents. Participants will learn how to work together to address to issues of drug/alcohol abuse. This program is for teens that have made a poor decision as well as those wanting to be proactive in the fight against drug/alcohol abuse.  Parent must be in attendance with teen and both must attend all four sessions.


Wellness Enhancement Program that provides exercise programs and educational materials, along with a 12-week free wellness enhancement program for cancer survivors and their families.  Instructors are trained by Stanford University Health Improvement Program to provide individualized instruction to survivors with emphasis on post-rehabilitation exercise, nutrition and supportive care.


Teen Tone is for tweens ages 10-14 and is specially designed for that age group. The focus is on physical activity with information on muscle groups, stretching and nutrition. Contact the Welcome Center to register. Class size is limited. Contact Gina Tomaso for more information.  
YOUTH POLICY
Ages 8-15

Ages 8-10
Allowed on the Track ONLY.
Proper footwear is required. Youth are allowed this privilege only if they are courteous and do not get in the way of others exercising on the track.

Ages 10 - 13
Allowed to use authorized equipment ONLY IF:
A badge is worn that was previously obtained through Teen Orientation.

OR

If teen isn't wearing a badge, a prent must be present with the teen. A Parent/Youth Orientation may be scheduled at the Welcome Center to learn proper technique and minimize injuries.

OR

If Teen doesn't have a badge, they can attend the Teen Tone class. Registration is required, as space is limited.

Ages 14 and Up
No restrictions upstairs

Ages 15 and Up
No restrictions upstairs or downstairs.
